Ready for winter
While the men were in Mürren I treated myself with the ultimate garden weekend - 6 to 8 hours a day - non stop.
It was great! I'm so happy with what I've all got done that I have to make a list.
1.) Weed the flower and the vegetable garden
2.) Put the vine back onto the pregola
3.) Mow the lawn
4.) Put the bulbs into the ground
5.) Scatter last years compost unto the beds
6.) Cover fragile plants
7.) Replant certain shrubs
8.) Cover the artichoke
9.) Harvest seeds
10.) Weed the planting box
11.) Clean up
12.) Plant shallots and garlic
13.) Take out the old strawberries
14.) Put cow manure on the bed of next years cucumbers
15.) Empty the well
What still needs to be done:
1.) Turn this years compost
2.) Lay out the new slabs
3.) Cut the trees in january
4.) Do some more weeding if I feel like
Now I'm almost ready for spring :-)
